DESCRIPTION:ALIDA legislation applies to adults with Intellectual Disabilities. This session will talk about how this impacts decision making\, ways to build capacity\, preparing youth for decision making when they turn 18\, and all of the challanges this brings with it. The session will provide opportunity for open dialogue and converstaions to untangle some of the mess. If you struggle with handing over decision making\, this session is for you. With information sessions from 6-8\, Interlake connections will present information and lead discussions with topics identified by families. SUMMARY:Interlake Connections: Embracing Independence
DESCRIPTION:Inclusion Selkirk has developed the group INTERLAKE CONNECTIONS and will be working with Red River North Counselling Therapy Services to coordinate the project.
