DESCRIPTION:Interlake Connections presents: Understanding the Vulnerable Persons Act and ALIDA\, with presenter Melissa Schofield BSW\, RSW\, FOT \nPresentation open to families\, school staff\, and service providers from 6-8pm\, with a Family Advocacy Network (FAN) meeting to follow from 8-9pm. \nRespite supports are available on site. When registering please advise if you are bringing your child/sibling with them including their ages and interests. Please also note: anyone who needs specialized behaviour/medical support will require their own support staff to attend the group with them. \nCome join us for an evening of insightful discussions and valuable tips on navigating the the rights of the individual person with disabilities and the Vulnerable Persons Act. This event is perfect for caregivers\, parents\, teachers\, and service providers looking to gain more understanding of the rights afforded to and the decisions made by vulnerable adults.
