Positions

New! Summer Job Opportunity - CLOSED FOR 2019

Funding has been approved from Metis Employment and Training for Student Summer Employment with Inclusion Selkirk.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be Metis, Non-status or Inuit
  • Between the ages of 15-30
  • Attended school full time during preceding year and who are returning to school on a full-time basis in the following academic year (part time or distance education do not qualify)
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Applicants under 16 years of age must provide a consent form signed by parent or guardian

POSITION
Support Worker – Day Program
The successful candidates will provide support to individuals with disabilities attending Inclusion Selkirk’s Day Program. Duties include supporting people during day trips, recreational opportunities, encouraging social interactions and assisting with every day activities.

COMPENSATION
$11.35/hour - 35 hours per week for 8 weeks

Residential Support Worker

You will provide support to individuals as needed in their home. Under the direction of your Team Leader, you will encourage and support residents to participate in the activities and duties of their home, and community and social events of their choice. You will offer guidance to help individuals develop life skills, meaningful relationships, and independence.

Requirements

  • Valid First Aid Certificate
  • Clear Criminal Record Check
  • Clear Child Abuse Check
  • Grade 12 diploma

Day Program Support Worker
You will provide support and guidance to individuals participating in our Work Skills Division or Adult Recreation Centre. Under the direction of your Manager, you will help individuals achieve their career goals and/or social ambitions. You will provide support in job development and employment, social and life skills such as decision making and problem solving, and exploring personal and recreational interests in the community.
