Building an inclusive community means giving back. Through volunteer work, we bring success and opportunity to our community as well as the people we serve. Here are examples of what we do:

Selkirk Food Bank

  • Unload trucks
  • Deliver hampers

Twice Over Clothing Store

  • Clothing placement and inventory control
  • Donate old stock from Wishme, formerly known as "Community Threads" for sale at Twice Over

Holiday Alley

  • Sit on the volunteer committee
  • Fundraise by selling Soup Cook Off tickets
  • Organized and ran the Soup Cook Off

Homes for the Holidays

  • Sat on committees
  • Put up posters around town
  • Provided space for building ice shacks

Gordon Howard Senior Centre

  • Provide hot lunch program through Riverside Grill

Lord Selkirk School Division

  • Serve food at the breakfast program
  • Assist teachers with different activities in the classroom
  • Provide space for Bike program offered through learning center

People First of Selkirk

  • Provide space for meetings
  • Provide transportation and supports to attend provincial and local events
  • Provide supports for school presentations including training, transportation and supports
