Interlake Connections: ALIDA in Action

ALIDA legislation applies to adults with Intellectual Disabilities. This session will talk about how this impacts decision making, ways to build capacity, preparing youth for decision making when they turn 18, and all of the challanges this brings with it. The session will provide opportunity for open dialogue and converstaions to untangle some of the mess. If you struggle with handing over decision making, this session is for you. If you’re a parent who has had some success or challanges with this, come and share your perspective with other families.
